Your first visit to our office is the most important one. it gives us both an opportunity to get to know each other. Establishing a good relationship is vital to achieving our common goals.
Our practice is committed to providing you and your family with safe, gentle, high-quality dental care. We understand that you, or your child, may feel anxious about visiting the dentist. We are sensitive to your needs, and it is our goal to make you feel comfortable visiting our practice while providing the best care possible.
For some patients, the first visit is an emergency or a specific urgent concern. Of course, we will attend to the emergency situation first and make you comfortable.
If there is not an emergency concern, the first visit typically involves a comprehensive exam, 7 x-rays, cleaning, and diagnosis. This takes approximately an hour. This time is necessary to accomplish several goals. After chatting and understanding your concerns as a patient, we will review your medical and dental histories. We will then do a thorough evaluation of your oral health. This will include an examination of all of the "soft tissues" including an oral cancer screening and evaluation of the supporting gums. Each tooth will be examined for decay or defective restorations.
If you are tired of the tradition of spending long periods in waiting rooms, little time with the doctor, and impersonal care, Our office may be the perfect dental office for you. We welcome you to your new dental home.
Our patients choose us because of who we are and what we do, not because an HMO forced them to choose a doc or from a list. Our patients value private "VIP" care rather than being told where they can or can't go for care by an overbearing insurance company and getting the "bum's rush." If your appointment is at 1.30 pm, you will be seen at 1.30 pm.
While we do work with traditional insurance, we are not a contracted provider for any plans. Consequently, we don't have to run our office like a bus station. You won't find our reception area crowded. It's not because we're not "busy." It's because we have chosen to work for you and only you during your visit.
BRING YOUR SMILE, BUT ALSO REMEMBER TO BRING THESE WITH YOU TO YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT:

"Dental caries is an infectious, communicable disease resulting in destruction of tooth structure by acid-forming bacteria found in dental plaque, an intraoral biofilm, in the presence of sugar. The infection results in the loss of tooth minerals that begins with the outer surface of the tooth and can progress through the dentin to the pulp, ultimately compromising the vitality of the tooth.
"In this golden age of technology, we would love it if you post a review about your experience with us on-line. If we did something wrong, we would like the opportunity fix it and know about it so we don't make the same mistake again and if we did something right, it would be great to help others discover us! Thank you so much! |
